Karen Rebeiro Gruhl

Karen is an occupational therapist who completed her PhD studies in 2011 at the school of Rural and Northern Health at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Karen has been involved in both clinical and research activities since 1997-working as a clinical researcher for the Northeast Mental Health Centre, currently Health Sciences North. Karen has several peer reviewed publications, and 7 book chapters. She has recently co-edited a special international edition of WORK: A Journal of Prevention, Assessment & Rehabilitation on mental health and employment. Karen volunteers her time on a variety of provincial and local boards. Karen has four children, Lindsey, Zachary, Matthew, and Nicholas. Karen is married to Robert and they like to spend their time on remote canoe trips on whitewater rivers and look forward to these adventures every year.
