Scott Kitchener is a public health physician, general practitioner and medical administrator. He established the director of rural medicine role on the Darling Downs, established and led Queensland Rural Medical Education which developed vertical integration of rural medical education involving student, prevoc and rural GP registrar programs and founded the rural clinical program of the Griffith Medical Doctorate program, the Rural Longlook Program. He has practiced at Clifton for 10 years, lectures in public health in the Griffith Department of Public Health and continues to practice in regional medical administration.
