Dr. Pratyush Kumar is a Family physician and has done post graduate specialisation in Family medicine from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital where he was also awarded Best DNB Doctor. He is currently working as senior Resident in Department of Geriatrics at Patna medical College Hospital and every Sunday runs a clinic at Areraj. He has published many research papers on infectious diseases, diabetes etc in national and international journals. There have been many awards to his credit, Healthcare excellence award, Young Researcher award and Taiwan Family Medicine Research award, Best DNB Doctor award. As young doctor his leadership skills and his work towards rural health and research has been appreciated and recognised globally. He has received many scholarships and presented his research papers in many global conferences at SriLanka, Turkey, Brazil, Australia, Thailand, China, Kazakhstan, Korea & Japan. He is passionate about rural health care and working towards providing quality, affordable health services accessible even in rural and remote areas. He is the founder and chair of rural health network of South Asia- Wonca Rural South Asia (WoRSA), Secreatry - Rural Wonca and executive member of world organisation of family doctors (WONCA). He is also advisory member of health organisation “The Network – Toward Unity for Health”.
