Currently, I am an assistent professor at the State University of Amazonas, teaching medicine, nursing and dentistry students. I am responsible for the Indigenous Health discipline. I also coordinate the following specialization courses: i) Indigenous Health; ii) Food and Nutrition Security in the Amazon. I guide and accompany indigenous students from the villages, in scientific initiation and university extension projects. I conduct research in the area of collective health, working on the topics of health policies, indigenous health, traditional medicine, ethnoknowledge, indigenous peoples, riverside communities, snakebite, among others. I have experience in carrying out projects with indigenous and riverside populations that inhabit remote areas of the Brazilian Amazon and that need articulation with local indigenous leaders.
